Falling for Clay

Late 2023, I put my hands in clay, and something just clicked.

What started as a quiet curiosity quickly grew into a joyful exploration of shape, color, and texture. I’m not a master potter, but every bowl, every plate, and every pot I make tells a little piece of my story: of learning, of slowing down, of falling in love with the craft.

I’m drawn to bold glazes, cheerful colors, and the gentle rhythm of working with my hands. Each piece I create is made with care, joy, and a touch of wonder. Meant to be used, held, and loved.

The Wheel of Discovery

There’s something mesmerizing about a lump of clay spinning on the wheel. I love the quiet challenge of centering—the patience it asks for, and the moment when a shape begins to bloom beneath my fingertips.

It’s not always perfect, but that’s part of the joy. The wheel hums softly, the clay responds, and with each turn, something new begins to take form.

For me, it’s like dancing with the earth: improvised, tactile, and full of surprises.

A Thoughtful Process

I craft pottery with respect for the land and its resources. Each piece is formed using rainwater, and all abundant clay is recuperated and reused in my process. The studio runs entirely on solar energy, powered by the sun that inspires so many of my glazes. Sustainability is woven into every step. When I ship out an order, I use recycled cardboard boxes and wrap items as much as possible in old newspapers, giving them another life before they’re discarded.
